Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 29, 2026
Groundschool is built to respect your privacy. The app has no user accounts, shows no ads, and does not sell or share your data. This page explains the little data that is involved and how it is handled.
Overview
Groundschool is a pilot exam-prep app for iPhone, iPad and Mac. We designed it to work without collecting personal information about you.
Your data stays yours
Your study data — progress, streaks, spaced-repetition schedule, achievements and settings — is stored on your device.
If you enable iCloud, this data syncs across your Apple devices through your private iCloud account. It travels encrypted between your devices and Apple’s iCloud and is not accessible to us.
What we don’t collect
We do not require a name, email or sign-up to use Groundschool.
We do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
We do not build profiles of you or sell data to anyone.
Analytics & diagnostics
If you opt in via iOS settings, Apple may share anonymous crash and usage diagnostics with us through App Store Connect. These reports are aggregated and cannot identify you. You can turn this off any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
The App Store
Downloading Groundschool is handled by Apple’s App Store, which has its own privacy policy. Any purchase information is processed by Apple; we do not receive your payment details.
Children
Groundschool is intended for aviation students and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Your rights & control
Because your data lives on your own device and in your iCloud, you stay in full control: delete the app or clear its data to remove everything locally, and manage iCloud copies from Settings → [your name] → iCloud.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new date above.
